The Story
It started from learning about “Sankofa” a Twi Word from the Akan Tribe of Ghana meaning “Go back and get it” Its literal translation comes from the Akan proverb, "Se wo were fi na wosan kofa a yenkyiri," meaning, "It is not taboo to go back for what you forgot (or left behind)." Sankofa is a phrase that encourages learning from the past to inform the future, reaching back to move forward, and lifting as we climb.
The story continues
After Learning about this. I started my self journey in finding myself. Which cause me to look in the mirror and look at my past in order to reflect and fix my future. During this journey I’ve made multiple designs and posters created boundaries with people, and understand my mental health. I started to understand that I was scared of a lot of things and put things aside because I was fearful of the future and the outcome. Instead of being in the present. Since then I try to live with intention.
